  • Claire, please just give me a list and quantities. I'll take care of it.

You can judge better than me what's important to you.

    Cheers,
    Ky
    • celery, vodka, tobasco, tomato (or V8)

      everything else is gravy!
      • in my absence
i will require that you fully document this event
        and all intake
        will have to be reproduced
on the west at points later as well
(maybe L.A. decompression?- yes.... space cowboys and co are taking over fantastic plastic town...)
      • What quality of vodka is required for a bloody mary?
        • you should never sacrifice vodka quality
          no matter what coctail!!!

(russian tips to stay forever young)

id say one never slip below stoli level
          (blech)
          although in a perfect world
only high quality vodka would be sold.
          • So where would The Russian Mouk draw the line regarding high quality vodka?
            • Unsu...

HA! I've seen her drink Skyy on more than one occasion.

You know, desperate times call for desperate measures.
              • You'd rate Skyy below Stoli?
                • ky, you can totally get cheap stuff, I would rather give more ppl bloody mouths than have a few slightly superior drinks... I mean, you add so much shit to a bloma that really, the taste of georgi gets subsumed by the tang!
                  • This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
                    What about the hangover effect?
                    • i have never gotten a hang over from a bloody mary massacre.

                      black outs, yes.

messes on the carpets and window coverings, yes.

                      but hang over? never.
                      • dude

                        georgi is rubbing alcohol

                        just say no!!

(and the skyy was sacrifice... one that i paid for in hangovers!)
                        • Can't we just run the Georgi through a Brita?

                          • i know people who have done exactly this, and then held a taste-test afterwards, and scored the "georgi" right up there with the goose.

of course, if i remember right, they actually filtered it twenty times through a brita.

one of those "time=money" things that i don't really care to figure out.

my only advice is to filter the vodka before adding it to the mix. i don't think that a brita-filtered-bloma will be quite the same.
                            • Will filtering the Georgi once do any good?

                              Maria will lick our asses.
                              • Oops, that was supposed to be "kick."

"Lick" might be better, I guess.

                                • if any ass-licking is involved, we should most assuredly filter anything and everything we come across.

if, however, it is an ass-kicking that is involved...well...at least that means that we'd get the mouk out to the east coast, so we should most assuredly filter anything and everything we come across.

as to number of times...i really can't help you. all i know was that they filtered it MANY times. i don't think there were any intermediary testings.

of course, if you set up a little system with tubes or filters or something along those lines, you could filter relatively large quantities pretty quickly a few times over.

                                  my two pennies.
                                  • Taste isn't going to matter in a bloma, unless you're Russian.

I was just concerned about hangovers, though Reagan isn't for a bloma.
                                    • Ky, we'll leave it to your infinite wisdom as to what kind of vodka you want to purchase!

                                      Also why don't you bring

                                      tomato/v8
                                      horseradish
                                      worcestershire

                                      I will bring
                                      salt
                                      pepper
                                      celery
                                      lemon
                                      hot sauce
                                      caper berries
                                      etc
                                      • Sure.

                                        How much of each?
                                        • Totally up to you. I would say an approximately equal amount of tomato-based beverage and vodka are needed, in whatever quantity you choose to get. And I use a pretty good-sized spooonful of horseradish per individual bloma, so tally accordingly.

Let me know so I can plan how much celery etc.
