Well, we didn't get around to setting up the BLOMA bar until Sunday afternoon, but we set up for business on a table near the fire.
We had contributions of cake and danishes. (We even annexed another party's bloma mix, which Claire worked on for a while.)
Cheers to Claire for creating a fine bloma mix. I'm a believer.

dr. bloma would have been very proud - and thanks to claire, sunday bloody monday insued! woooooo!
one of my favorite moments in a long list was seeing a mobile bloma station and after finding out they had no horse radish i happily pointed them in the direction of a wonderful camp (the name escapes me but they had a sign made out of beer caps) who where also handing out blomas and had extra radish for the mobile blomas!
oh! dandelion greens are a nice alternative to celery when available...
ps. those of you that were at PDF i am in the midst of testing milk infused blomas ;)

those were some damn good bloodies. good bite.
and i think claire made it quite clear to anyone trying to snatch up single parts of bloodies that that was quite unacceptable. i saw a few people almost lost extremities when trying to take, oh, say, an olive without a bloma attached, or just some celery without anything good to mix with it.
quite the operation going on there.

I took some pics of the mobile bloma bar--in case you're wondering why I'm missing from the documentation and all you see is Claire.
Plus, at dawn on Monday: the Disorient takeover of the stage/Reagan's house party (she squatted her tent in a corner on stage)/Jesse's birthday party--complete with lighted candles on a birthday cake.
Then Jesse busted out a big white inflatable from The Eye! I had to add a pink air mattress for contrast. And I moved the Israelis' orange dragon in front of the stage, as Nessie should be swimming in a pool.
I have some Miss PDF prelim pics. Arrow has pics of Miss PDF finals, which Justin won.
Deadlines are kicking my butt for the next week. And I have a full hard drive, so I have to install a new one.
You'll just have to wait. Sorry... Please be patient.

I even got to punch a few bloody mouths. Mike (Icon) was a bloma virgin but unfortunately was not won over to the cause. Someone else was a virgin too, whose name I unfortunately did not ask, and she loved it! Sucked it down like a pro.
Next time I'll know to bring my own caper berries and not count on Acme Grocery to have them. And I'll also know to buy extra pepperoncinis and extra olives - I was a fool to buy only one jar ea., because when I tried to doctor that mix that was donated, I didn't have enough and it sorely needed those key juices....
but it was sweet, we even got donations of ingredients and vodka to keep the bar going - so much so that we had leftovers the next morning, and in balancing the heat that had settled at the bottom of the mix we made 'em blasphemously strong, and justin and I got so plastered we had to pass out at a roadside motel... I got smacked by my own bloma!
